John gave Jennifer her middle name 'Joanna' after his own mother. summary: A soap classic following the much-married Jo and her family over four decades of divorce, drunks and other crises. Known mostly for leading lady Mary Stuart, who stuck with the show for the entire 35-year run and became the first daytime star to win an Emmy, the serial also had daring (for its time) plots involving abortion and date rape. `Search' was the longest running soap until `Guiding Light' passed it in 1986.

Her first role, she remembers, was, "as an extra on my dad's [actor John Aniston] soap opera, 'Search for Tomorrow.' When I was 12, I asked him if I could get a part on his show," she says. "I wore a yellow skating outfit, and I was kinda large. It's hard to look good in yellow, and I certainly did not. I remember I got a check for about $100, and I was blown away."

| Jen spent a year in Greece. John's acting career was going nowhere. John and his family relocated to Greece so he could go to Medical School. Things didn't work out so they returned home. Best friend (and god- father to Jen), Telly Savalas, recommended him for Day's of Our Lives. The rest, so they say, is history. |
